Firmware Update 3.14 is Now Available

The latest firmware update, 3.14, for the AI-12 dashcam, is now Generally Available (GA).

Standby Window Extension to Improve Data Capture

Availability:

This update is rolling out automatically to all connected devices. Most devices which were previously updated to the limited release version 3.14 have been updated to the new 3.14 version.

Firmware 3.12.206 is rolling out!

Firmware Update 3.12.206 is rolling out.

The latest firmware update, 3.12.206, for the AI-12 dash cam is rolling out.

What’s included:

New NOM label in the Certification screen
An issue that caused repeated rebooting of the device was resolved in this update.
Enhanced Wi-Fi security when connecting auxiliary cameras via hotspot

The limited-release phase of the rollout started on June 3rd and will be gradually carried out throughout the next few weeks. The rollout is beginning with devices connected to the US cloud.

As we progress with the rollout, we will upgrade larger batches of devices. Devices will be randomly picked, including devices connected to the EU cloud. We expect to push 3.12.206 as GA to all connected devices by the end of June or early July.

The timing and pace are approximate and subject to change according to the deployment performance.

3.12 Firmware version is GA! 🚀

We are excited to announce that the 3.12 firmware version for the AI-12 dash cam is officially in General Availability (GA). This marks a significant milestone in our commitment to continuously improving and enriching our products with new features and innovation.

What’s new:

Driver ID
Passenger unbelted event
Wake up the camera via the event trigger button
Wi-Fi connection Icon
Product and security enhancements, and much more!

This firmware version allows you to add new value propositions to your customers with the same device you already offer.

Availability:

The controlled release for the 3.12 firmware version has been successfully completed. Going forward, all devices with a version older than 3.12 will be automatically upgraded as they come online.

We are excited to share that the rollout of the 3.12 firmware version for the AI-12 dash cam has begun and is now in limited release. This firmware version includes new features to enrich your offerings including Driver ID, Passenger Unbelted event, as well as additional enhancements and bug fixes.

JUL-SEP: The limited-release phase of the rollout started on July 11^th and will be gradually carried out throughout the next few weeks. The rollout begins with devices connected to the US cloud.

As we progress with the rollout, we will upgrade larger batches of devices. Devices will be randomly picked, including devices connected to the EU cloud. We expect to push 3.12 as GA to all devices by the end of September.

All devices are configured to turn off any new features so as to not alter the experience of the end-user.

JUL 26^th : A product release webinar and training will be held dedicated to the firmware's features and enhancements (register here).

3.11.27 Firmware rollout update

We are excited to share that the 3.11.27 firmware version for the AI-12 dash cam is in rollout. This firmware version includes a new event to help you manage your SD cards. The event is triggered when an SD card is formatted through the dash cam, the partner portal, or the API service and the event metadata will include the SD card brand.

Updated devices will start sending SD card formatted events through API or the Surfsight Portal.

WHAT’S NEXT?

The limited-release phase of the rollout started on June 1st and will be gradually carried out throughout the next few weeks. The rollout is beginning with devices connected to the US cloud.

WHAT’S NEXT?

DEC-JAN: The limited-release phase of the rollout started on Nov 14th and will be gradually carried out throughout the next two months. As we progress with the rollout, we will upgrade bigger batches of devices that will be randomly picked. We expect to push 3.11 as GA to all devices by January/February.

All devices are configured to turn off any new features so as to not alter the experience of the end-user.

MID-JAN: A release webinar and training about the new features will be held towards general availability in mid-January, together with the release of all training and marketing content.
